Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, honoured members of the security teams from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, who succeeded in uncovering the circumstances of security cases and arresting the suspects.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Police, and Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior. The cases highlighted during the event included the arrest of two Chinese nationals at the airport linked to the theft of gold jewellery valued at approximately BD 50,000, the arrest of two suspects for setting a fire and attempting to blow up an ATM of a national bank, and the arrest of two Asians involved in a murder case.
The minister praised the readiness and professionalism of the officers and non-commissioned officers. He commended their courage and rapid response in managing incidents and security cases, which are crucial for maintaining public safety and security. He highlighted that security efforts extend beyond arresting offenders to include enhancing security awareness to aid in crime prevention.
Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah expressed gratitude to the police personnel for their dedication and sacrifices in maintaining security and public safety. He also lauded their precision and professionalism, which positively impact the services provided to citizens and residents, ensuring efficiency, speed, and accuracy. He wished them continued success in their duties.
