Beirut: The Office of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities has announced that the Central Operations Room for Municipal and Mayoral Elections has received 12 complaints concerning electoral bribery in various areas of the Mount Lebanon Governorate. The information has been forwarded to the Internal Security Forces, which are tasked with verifying the claims and coordinating with the judiciary to pursue legal measures.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in the Al-Fanar area of North Matn, the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces apprehended a citizen suspected of distributing bribes to support a candidate. The case has been handed over to the Jdaideh Police Station, which is conducting a judicial investigation under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
