Int’l co-op., education ministers review co-op. programmes implementation


International Co-operation Minister Rania el Mashaat and Education Minister Reda Hegazy met at the headquarters of the international co-operation ministry in the New Administrative Capital to discuss development co-operation programmes and international partnerships implemented with development partners in the fields of education, technical education, and teacher capacity building.

This comes in light of the state’s priorities and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to improve the quality of education and raise the efficiency of the human element in the educational system at the pre-university educational level, and to enhance the role played by the Ministry of International Co-operation in coordinating between national authorities and development partners to achieve the maximum benefit from these international partnerships.

The two ministers discussed the position of the projects being implemented within the framework of the third phase of the Egyptian-Italian debt swap programme for development, w
hich amounts to USD 100 million, part of which has been directed to implementing development projects in the field of education and technical education, including the technology schools project.
