Beirut: The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement Iran's full right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, stressing its "determination to defend this right under any circumstances," according to Russia Today.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei noted that "under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and in accordance with Article IV, Iran has the full right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes." He emphasized that "Iran is determined to preserve this right."
Baqaei added, "From our perspective, diplomacy never ends. Even at the height of the imposed war on Iran, we continued to engage in dialogue with various sides to save lives and ensure our national security, but other parties undermined diplomacy." He emphasized that "while other parties claim to support dialogue and diplomacy, they engage in aggressive actions. These contradictions have led to exacerbating problems rather than solving them."
