Tehran: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Abdolrahim Mousavi, expressed Tehran's "serious doubts" about Israel's adherence to the ceasefire that ended the war between the two sides earlier this month. State television quoted Mousavi as saying, "We did not start the war, but we responded to the aggressor with all our might. We have serious doubts about the enemy's compliance with its commitments, including the ceasefire. We are prepared to respond forcefully" if Iran is attacked again.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the remarks from Mousavi underscore the ongoing tension between Iran and Israel, despite the recent ceasefire.
