Islamic Resistance Launches Rocket Attacks on Haifa and Israeli Military Gathering in Khallet Wardeh

HAIFA: The group known as the "Islamic Resistance" carried out targeted rocket salvos against a gathering of Israeli army personnel and vehicles in Khallet Wardeh, and the city of Haifa on Tuesday, escalating tensions in the region. The attacks reportedly took place at 01:50 pm and 02:20 pm respectively on October 15, 2024. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the "Islamic Resistance" stated that these attacks were in retaliation to the "barbaric Israeli aggression on cities, villages, and civilians." Additionally, the group declared its actions were in solidarity with the "steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip" and their "valiant and honorable resistance." The statements issued by the organization underscored their intent to defend Lebanon and its people through these military actions. The first attack targeted Israeli forces stationed in Khallet Wardeh, where a significant number of troops and military vehicles were reported to have been assembled. The second attack was directed at Haifa, a major Israeli city, which the group refers to as 'occupied'.
