BRUSSELS: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's Representative, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation arrived in Belgium on Tuesday to attend the first EU-GCC Summit due in Brussels tomorrow. According to Kuwait News Agency, upon arrival, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah emphasized the summit's critical role in establishing a strategic partnership based on shared prospects, visions, and goals across various fields, aiming to foster mutual prosperity. He mentioned that this summit would propel the already distinguished relations between the European Union (EU) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to new and broader levels. Further elaborating on the bilateral ties, His Highness the Premier expressed his appreciation for the historic relationship between Kuwait and the EU. He reiterated his commitment to further develop these relations, guided by the wise directions of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince. Upon his arrival, His Highness the Amir's Representative was welcomed by GCC Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi and Kuwait's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and its representative at the EU and NATO, Nawaf Al-Enezi.
