Israel kills Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in airstrike on Beirut

BEIRUT: Lebanon's National News Agency has confirmed the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike on Friday evening in the Haret Hreik area of southern Beirut. Following the news of his assassination, Hezbollah issued an official statement mourning its leader, although further details regarding the circumstances of the airstrike and its aftermath are still emerging.
