JERUSALEM: The Israeli occupation forces placed barbed wire on the fence adjacent to Al Aqsa Mosque compound near the Lions' Gate, also known as Bab al-Asbat. The Jerusalem Governorate said in a brief statement, 'In a dangerous precedent and for the first time since 1967, the occupation army today placed barbed wire on the fence adjacent to the mosque in the Lions Gate area. Fatah movement official in the Old City, Nasser Qaws, said that the occupation aims with this step to prevent worshipers from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
