Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed his approval of the agreement by congratulating Somaliland's president and leadership. He praised their efforts in promoting stability and peace and extended an invitation for an of ficial visit to Israel. In contrast, U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced his opposition to recognizing Somaliland's independence in an interview with the New York Post.
