BEIRUT: Israeli air strikes on South Lebanon on Saturday resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others, as Israeli aircraft targeted two buildings near the city of Tyre. According to Jordan News Agency, a Lebanese security source reported that the air strikes were directed at the vicinity of a newly established civil defense facility in the town of Al Yazourieh. The attacks have heightened tensions in the region, which has seen sporadic violence in recent weeks. Additionally, the Lebanese security source noted that the village of Al Shehabiyeh and the area between Majdalzon and Shama' were experiencing heavy Israeli artillery shelling. Fires were reported in the targeted areas, further exacerbating the situation.
