BEIRUT: A series of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon on Thursday resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 15 others, as reported by the Lebanese Health Ministry. The attacks mark a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Lebanon, with the strikes targeting multiple locations within the country. According to Kuwait News Agency, the fatalities occurred during airstrikes on Al-Yamona and Al-Safari towns, located in the northeastern Baalbek-Hermel Governorate. The attacks also led to injuries among residents, further exacerbating the humanitarian situation in the region. The Israeli military's operations extended to southern Lebanon, where warplanes bombed two mosques in Majdal Salm town and launched attacks on several other sites across southern districts. The Health Ministry has previously reported that the Israeli occupation forces' attacks on Lebanon have resulted in a significant loss of life and injuries. Since October 2023, these military actions have claimed the l ives of 2,412 people and left 11,285 others wounded. The ongoing conflict has raised concerns over the humanitarian impact and the potential for further escalation in violence between the two nations.
