Israeli Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon Result in Five Deaths

Beirut: A series of airstrikes by Israeli occupation forces in southern Lebanon has led to the deaths of five people, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA). The strikes targeted multiple locations, raising concerns about escalating tensions in the region. According to Kuwait News Agency, the airstrikes claimed three lives in the southern town of Baflia. In a separate incident, two additional fatalities and one injury were reported in the town of Burj Al-Shemali. The agency provided detailed accounts of the overnight operations, highlighting the intensity of the strikes in Beirut's southern suburbs. The areas surrounding Al-Hadath, Burj Al-Barajneh, and Haret Hreik were struck, resulting in the destruction of several buildings and extensive damage to homes. The NNA report indicated that the airstrikes also affected other parts of southern Lebanon, including the city of Nabatieh and various other locations, as well as the city of Hermel in the Beqaa Valley. The ongoing conflict, which intensifi ed on September 23, has resulted in significant casualties, extensive property damage, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of residents.
