Israeli Forces Detain 30 in West Bank, Escalate Arrest Campaigns Amid Conflict

Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces have detained at least 30 individuals from the West Bank over the past two days, intensifying a broader campaign of arrests amid ongoing regional tensions. Those detained include former prisoners, with significant activities reported in the Hebron Governorate as well as in Jenin, Bethlehem, Nablus, Qalqilya, and Ramallah.

According to Maan News Agency, a joint statement from the Prisoners Club and the Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and Freed Prisoners highlighted the severity of the arrest campaigns. The statement detailed that the operations not only involved detentions but also included raids, abuse, and threats against detainees and their families. Additionally, there have been reports of field investigations and significant damage to the homes of those arrested.

The organizations emphasized the systematic nature of these arrest campaigns, which they described as a prominent and ongoing policy of the Israeli forces. Since the onset of what they termed a “war of exter
mination and comprehensive aggression,” more than 11,200 citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, have been arrested.

The increase in arrests and the reported aggression in the tactics used mark a significant escalation in the conflict, affecting numerous communities across the West Bank.
