Gaza: Israeli occupation forces encircled the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip, targeting movements nearby early Saturday. The incident marks an escalation in the ongoing conflict, now in its fifteenth day, with occupation forces intensifying their military operations across northern Gaza. According to Maan News Agency, medical sources reported that Israeli tanks surrounded the hospital and fired shells at its facilities, causing the hospital's electric generator to cease operation due to the gunfire. The tanks reportedly bombed the hospital's second and third floors, demolishing parts of the hospital's wall. The military siege on the northern Gaza Strip began on October 6, worsening the already dire humanitarian conditions amid continuous aggression since October 7, 2023. The blockade has halted the supply of essential resources, including food, water, medicine, and fuel, while the bombardment has destroyed homes and entire residential blocks. The Indonesian Hospital was previously b esieged in November 2023, when it faced direct shelling, leading to deaths and arrests among the wounded. The ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of 42,500 citizens and injuries to 99,546 others, predominantly affecting children and women. Many remain unaccounted for beneath the rubble, as the toll remains incomplete.
