Israeli Military Demolishes Saint George Statue in Yaroun, Violating Ceasefire Agreement


Nabatieh: In a recent development, the Israeli military has demolished a statue of Saint George in the town of Yaroun, located in the Bint Jbeil district. This act is being reported as a new violation of the existing ceasefire agreement. A video clip captured the event, showing an Israeli military bulldozer in the act of demolishing the statue.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, former Labor Minister Mustafa Bayram shared a video documenting the demolition. In his accompanying comment, Bayram condemned the action, describing it as an attack on a sacred religious symbol. He stated that this incident reaffirms the Zionist entity’s hostility to the region’s cultural and religious symbols, highlighting it as an occupying force with no legitimate place among the people of the area.
