Beirut: Finance Minister, Yassine Jaber, on Wednesday met Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Sultan Al-Sharji, to discuss economic relations between Lebanon and Kuwait and ways to strengthen them. Jaber briefed the ambassador on customs reforms introduced to facilitate cargo movement through Lebanon's ports and border crossings, particularly at the Masnaa crossing, in an effort to ease trade and transit flows toward Gulf countries. Discussions also covered current developments in Lebanon and the wider region.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, separately, Jaber received World Bank regional director for the Middle East Jean-Christophe Carret in a farewell visit, praising his role in supporting the progress of key projects financed by the World Bank in Lebanon and wishing him success in his new position.
