Security Update: Israeli Strikes Hit South Lebanon as Death Toll in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr Rises to 12

Beirut: Israeli enemy warplanes carried out strikes earlier today on the town of Ghandoorieh in Bint Jbeil district and on the area between Burj Rahhal and Abbasiyeh in Tyre district, while Israeli artillery shelled the town of Siddiqine.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, rescue teams in Deir Qanoun al-Nahr recovered the body of a Syrian national from beneath the rubble of a site targeted overnight, raising the death toll from the strike to 12 martyrs, including 11 members of the same family. Search operations for missing persons were still ongoing.

An Israeli drone strike on the al-Assi area between Kfara and Siddiqine also wounded two people. Meanwhile, a powerful explosion was heard in the Khallat Fseekhiya area south of al-Shaqif between Halta and Kfarchouba, sending thick clouds of dust over Kfarchouba and Kfarhamam.
