Japan and EU Foreign Ministers Commit to Strengthen Cooperation on Security and Global Challenges

Tokyo: Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya and his European Union (EU) counterpart Josep Borrell pledged to deepen cooperation between Japan and the EU during a 15-minute teleconference on Monday, focusing on a range of strategic and security issues. According to Kuwait News Agency, the two diplomats vowed to work closely on various issues, including security challenges in the Middle East, Indo-Pacific, and Ukraine. The meeting underscored the strength of the Japan-EU relationship, highlighting it as stronger than ever. Both ministers recognized the inseparability of security between the Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific regions.
