JHCO and KSRelief Collaborate on Orphan Support Project in Jordan

AMMAN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) have launched the Orphan Care Project, aimed at supporting 1,000 orphaned children from underprivileged Jordanian and Syrian refugee families across various governorates in Jordan. According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative focuses on enhancing the quality of life for these children by providing them with a monthly financial guarantee to cover basic living needs for one year. Additionally, the project aims to improve their educational opportunities by supplying necessary school materials and integrating them into local communities. The program also includes provisions for Eid clothing and various recreational activities during holidays, addressing both material and psychological needs of the orphans. During the project's inauguration, JHCO Secretary-General Dr. Hussein Shebli emphasized the significant role of orphan support programs within the organization's humanitarian efforts in Jordan, supported by KSRelief. Dr. Shebli highlighted the collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development and local associations to ensure the comprehensive inclusion of about 1,000 orphans from disadvantaged backgrounds. Nayef bin Saleh Al-Shammari, the Director of KSRelief Office in Jordan, reaffirmed the center's commitment to humanitarian assistance. He stated that the project is set to enhance the living, economic, and social standards of the targeted households, reflecting the center's ongoing efforts to support vulnerable groups in the region.
