Amman: Under Royal directives, a Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) aircraft landed in Beirut Wednesday, carrying humanitarian aid including food, relief assistance, as well as drugs and medical supplies. According to Jordan News Agency, the plane, which is the 10th dispatched to Lebanon, was received by Jordan's Ambassador to Beirut, Walid Hadid, and Brig. Gen. Ahmad Saadeh, representative of the Lebanese Army Commander. Both officials expressed gratitude towards His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Kingdom's ongoing support for Lebanon. Hadid highlighted that 11 Jordanians were also returned to Amman on the same flight, amidst the ongoing challenges in Lebanon. The aircraft was part of a broader initiative by the Jordanian Armed Forces and the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization to provide essential supplies and support to Lebanon. This aid is crucial for some sectors in Lebanon to help alleviate the severe shortages of food, medical supplies, and other basic necessities the country is facing. Additio nally, the return of Jordanian nationals was coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates as part of Jordan's commitment to ensure the safety and security of its citizens abroad during crises. This evacuation effort underscores the Kingdom's preparedness and willingness to utilize all available resources to aid its citizens and others during emergencies.
