BEIRUT: Jordanian King Abdullah II has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon as part of broader efforts to de-escalate regional tensions, according to a statement from the Royal Court. According to Kuwait News Agency, during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour, King Abdullah emphasized the pressing need for regional de-escalation. The meeting underscored Jordan's commitment to collaborate with partner states to stabilize the region and seek a political resolution for the Palestinian issue. King Abdullah stressed the importance of enhancing the humanitarian response in Gaza and ensuring continuous aid flow to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the area.
