Jumblatt and Said Emphasize Unity and Negotiations to Address Lebanon Crisis

Qartaba: Democratic Gathering leader MP Taymour Jumblatt met with former MP Fares Said in Qartaba, where both leaders emphasized their commitment to coexistence, the Taif Agreement, and national unity amid escalating tensions.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Said cautioned against efforts to weaken Lebanon's pluralistic model, asserting that the ongoing crises could only be resolved through negotiations supported by broad national backing. He called for unity behind the initiatives led by President Joseph Aoun and Speaker Nabih Berri to negotiate solutions with Israel.

Jumblatt pointed out the complexity of Lebanon's political system and the necessity of dialogue. MP Raji Saad also emphasized that adherence to the Taif Agreement remains crucial for preserving stability and achieving national recovery.
