Kanaan Urges Reduction of Budget Fees, Calls for Clear Fiscal Vision

Beirut: During today's legislative session, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee MP Ibrahim Kanaan called for the approval of reduced budget-related fees, stating it is a 'widespread public demand.' He criticized the government's proposed draft for containing 'loopholes,' emphasizing the need for a budget that ensures financial balance and reflects a comprehensive fiscal vision.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Kanaan added, 'We have requested the government to attend a special session at the Finance Committee to present a clear financial roadmap outlining revenues, expenditures, and priorities-so the state does not continue operating in a piecemeal fashion.'
