Kataeb Party Calls for Massive Participation in April 12 Commemoration to Renew Commitment

Beirut: The Kataeb's Political Bureau conducted its weekly meeting under the leadership of party leader, Samy Gemayel. Following an assessment of the latest developments, the bureau released a statement emphasizing key issues and upcoming events.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Kataeb Party praised the efforts of the government and several ministries in proposing draft laws that align with necessary reforms. The party stressed that any bill brought before Parliament should be part of a comprehensive government plan with a clear economic and financial vision. Such legislation should be fully integrated with this plan to achieve the desired outcomes.

The Political Bureau reiterated its stance on the urgent necessity to address the issue of Hezbollah's weapons, declaring it a matter beyond further debate. The party believes that the delay in resolving this issue, despite international advice and calls, poses a significant obstacle to Lebanon's recovery. The party urges the government and relevant authorities to prioritize this issue on the Cabinet's agenda and develop a clear, actionable roadmap for its resolution. They emphasize that discussions should be limited to Hezbollah and the Lebanese State, the sole stakeholder with decision-making power.

As Lebanon nears the 50th anniversary of the rise of the Lebanese Resistance, the Kataeb Party reaffirmed its steadfast position in defending Lebanon and its people. The party is committed to continuing the path of resistance fighters who have made sacrifices for the nation's survival. To honor this legacy, the party is organizing a major rally on Saturday, April 12, in Ain el-Remmaneh at 4:00 PM, inviting members and supporters to join in renewing their commitment to the cause.
