MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain has issued a royal decree appointing a president of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). According to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Brigadier General Bassam Mohammed Khamis Al Maraj shall be promoted to Major General and appointed as the President of the NIA, effective 1st August, 2024.
