Dubai: Officials from several Korean energy companies visited the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) to study its advancements in the renewable and clean energy sector. The delegation, led by Sung Soo Kim Su, Senior Vice President of the Global Sae-A Group, toured DEWA's Sustainability and Innovation Centre as well as the Research and Development Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. According to Emirates News Agency, the visiting delegation received a comprehensive briefing on DEWA's Green Hydrogen project. This initiative, the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, generates hydrogen using solar power through the electrolysis of water. The facility can store up to 12 hours of hydrogen, positioning it for potential applications in energy production and mobility. The delegation also learned about the Sustainability and Innovation Centre's role as a global hub for innovation in clean and renewable energy. This Centre offers visitors insights into the latest techno logies developed in the sector. The Korean delegation expressed appreciation for DEWA's efforts and accomplishments in research, innovation, and the development of renewable and clean energy solutions.
