Kuwait Charities Complete Support Program for Cancer-Afflicted Children in Jordan

Kuwait city: Kuwait's Mercy International society, in partnership with the Balsam Voluntary Team, wrapped up a significant initiative on Monday aimed at supporting children from the Gaza Strip who are undergoing cancer treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan. According to Kuwait News Agency, Waleed Al-Suwailim, the head of the society's delegation, detailed the program's offerings in a statement. He mentioned that the initiative provided financial assistance to the children, helping to cover their needs for three months and enhancing their social and living conditions. The program not only focused on financial aid but also included a series of workshops, lectures, and fun activities tailored for the children and their families. Additionally, it provided specialized sessions in psychological and educational support. Nisreen Qattamesh, head of the King Hussein Cancer Center, also spoke to the Kuwait News Agency, expressing how the Kuwaiti voluntary initiative brought joy to the faces of the chil dren affected, including Palestinian and Syrian refugees. She highlighted the positive impact such initiatives have on the wellbeing of young patients far from home.
