Kuwaiti Jet Skier Honored by Interior Minister for World Championship Triumphs

Kuwait city: Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, recognized Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Burbayea for his outstanding achievements at the IJSBA World Championship in the US. Burbayea secured two gold medals in the Pro Runabout GP and Pro Am Runabout Limited categories, marking significant accomplishments for both him and the country. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Ministry's security media and public relations department stated that the minister praised Burbayea for his global achievement, which has been added to the Guinness World Records. Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah highlighted this recognition as a source of pride for both the security institution's staff and the citizens of Kuwait, emphasizing their collective efforts to enhance the nation's standing on the global stage. In his response, Burbayea expressed gratitude towards Sheikh Fahad Al-Sabah for the honor and the warm reception, acknowledging the continued support from t he ministry. The ceremony not only celebrated Burbayea's recent wins but also his illustrious career, as he has amassed a total of 28 medals over 17 years, according to Khaled Al-Fodari, Secretary of the Kuwait Sea Club. The Kuwaiti team concluded their participation at the championship with a total of six medals, demonstrating the strength and capability of Kuwaiti athletes in the competitive world of jet skiing.
