Kuwait Charity Provides Essential Aid to Flood-Affected Families in Sudan

KUWAIT CITY: A Kuwait-based charity organization, Direct Aid, has taken significant steps to support Sudanese families devastated by recent floods by distributing 500 food baskets in the Tokar area of eastern Sudan. The organization aims to alleviate the immediate needs of those affected by the natural disaster. According to Kuwait News Agency, Ahmad Al-Sheikh, the head of the projects department at Direct Aid-Sudan, detailed the contents of each food basket, which includes 10 kg of sugar, 10 kg of premium flour, 10 kg of red lentils, 5 kg of corn flour, 4 liters of oil, and infant powdered milk. These provisions are designed to sustain a family's nutritional needs for up to 45 days. Al-Sheikh emphasized that the food distribution initiative is part of a larger project targeting more than 12,000 families across Sudan. The effort aims to provide much-needed relief and support to communities grappling with the aftermath of severe flooding. The flood relief project underscores the ongoing commitment of Direct Aid to assist vulnerable populations in crisis situations, delivering essential resources to help families rebuild and recover.
