Kuwait’s Diplomatic Mission Highlights Enduring Ties with Egypt as They Honor War Martyrs

Cairo: Ties between Kuwait and Egypt have long been characterized by cooperative efforts and shared objectives, particularly during challenging times, according to a statement from the State of Kuwait Embassy in Cairo on Thursday. This reaffirmation of solidarity was highlighted during a visit by a delegation from the embassy to the military cemetery in Suez, where they paid tribute to Kuwaiti martyrs who perished in the October 1973 War. According to Kuwait News Agency, Meshaal Al-Smaiee, the embassy's first secretary, emphasized Kuwait's commitment to supporting the rights and causes of Arab states. He noted that the historical relationship between Kuwait and Egypt has been marked by cooperation and a shared destiny. The visit commenced with a ceremony featuring the playing of the Kuwaiti and Egyptian national anthems, followed by the laying of wreaths at the graves of the martyrs.
