Lebanese Army Contributes to Extinguishing Fires in Latakia’s Countryside Following an Initiative by Lebanese Authorities

Beirut: Lebanese Army Command's Orientation Directorate issued today the following statement: "Two Air Force helicopters departed this morning from Qlayaat Airport in Akkar to participate in extinguishing fires in the Latakia countryside, based on an initiative by the Lebanese authorities, in coordination between the Army Command and the Syrian authorities."

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the deployment of the helicopters is part of a cooperative effort to address the fires affecting the region.
