Beirut: Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos, emphasized in response to journalists' questions before entering today's legislative session of the Lebanese Parliament, that "the President of the Republic, the government, and its Prime Minister are working daily to protect infrastructure and vital facilities, keep them away from the specter of war, and contain the escalation, while simultaneously addressing humanitarian needs." Minister Morcos noted that the recent strikes did not target these facilities, despite not relying on any guarantees from the Israeli side.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Morcos also revealed that ministers hold daily morning meetings, chaired by the Prime Minister, to coordinate work among ministries and respond to citizens' needs, particularly in the areas of relief and supply. The meetings also monitor the impact of rising global oil prices and their effects on the local market.
Minister Morcos concluded by saying that the government is working to ensure the continued provision of essential daily living, medical, and food supplies, and to facilitate the delivery of supply shipments to various Lebanese regions, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister.
