Lebanese Information Minister Engages in Key Discussions at Arab Media Summit 2025

Dubai: Lebanon's Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Marcos, held a series of significant meetings on the sidelines of the Arab Media Summit 2025 in Dubai, focusing on the evolving landscape of media in the Arab world amid technological advancements.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Marcos engaged in discussions with Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum about the current state and future of Arab media. The conversations emphasized the impact of technology on media practices and the need for adaptation.

Minister Marcos also conferred with Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Mona Al Marri, CEO of the Dubai Press Club, on media and cultural affairs. These discussions were attended by Lebanese Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh, highlighting the collaborative approach to media and cultural exchanges.

In a morning meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office, Minister Marcos explored avenues to bolster media cooperation between Lebanon and the UAE. He extended an invitation to Al-Hamed for the upcoming Arab Media Forum in Beirut, set to occur from October 9 to 12, under the patronage of President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun. The two leaders committed to ongoing collaboration for the advancement of Arab media.

Additionally, Minister Marcos met with Ahmed Al-Maslamani, Chairman of the Egyptian National Media Authority (NMA), to discuss bilateral professional engagements and potential partnerships.

A collaborative session also took place involving Minister Marcos, Bahraini Minister of Information Dr. Ramzan Al-Nuaimi, Kuwaiti Minister of Information Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Chairman of the UAE Media Council, and the Chairman of the National Media Authority in Egypt. This meeting focused on fostering unity and cooperation across Arab media platforms.
