BEIRUT: In a significant meeting on Tuesday, Caretaker Minister of Labor, Mustafa Bayram, engaged in discussions with the Philippines Ambassador to Lebanon, Raymond Balatbat, focusing on the facilitation of the departure of Filipino domestic workers due to the ongoing Israeli aggression. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the talks underscored the urgent need to address the safety concerns of Filipino workers in Lebanon. Minister Bayram expressed his deep understanding and concern for the well-being of all residents, emphasizing his dedication to ensuring their protection amidst the current hostilities. He requested Ambassador Balatbat to provide a list to General Security to speed up the departure procedures for those wishing to leave the country. The meeting highlights the Lebanese government's proactive stance in safeguarding foreign nationals during crises and underscores the collaborative efforts between Lebanon and the Philippines to ensure the safety and well-being of their citizens abroad.
