Beirut: President of the Lebanese University, Dr. Bassam Badran, met with Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani at the university's central administration building. The meeting included senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, such as Director-General Louis Lahoud, alongside university representatives, including deans of the faculties of agriculture and sciences.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions focused on enhancing collaboration, with an emphasis on research and scientific studies aimed at advancing the agricultural sector. Minister Hani, who is also a professor at the university's Faculty of Agriculture, shared his ministry's strategic vision and agricultural extension program during the meeting.
Dr. Badran reiterated the university's commitment to providing scientific expertise to support the ministry's initiatives. He highlighted the ongoing technological research in modern agriculture being conducted at the university and expressed his willingness to initiate a reforestation campaign in areas impacted by the recent Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
