Beirut: Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade, Amr Bisat, participated in the regular session of the Arab League's Economic and Social Council in Cairo, delivering Lebanon's official statement.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Bisat emphasized the Lebanese government's commitment to comprehensive economic and financial reforms, asserting that national sovereignty is essential for stability and development. He highlighted Lebanon's renewed active engagement with the Arab world as a strategic decision, deeply rooted in the belief that Lebanon's future is intertwined with its Arab identity.
The Minister announced two significant initiatives: the completion of Lebanon's new economic roadmap titled 'Lebanon 2035 - Restoring Trust', and the organization of a high-level investment conference scheduled in Beirut on November 18-19, aimed at revitalizing the private sector. He extended an invitation for broad Arab participation in these endeavors.
Bisat also highlighted the importance of Arab unity in addressing regional challenges and reaffirmed Lebanon's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause.
In his concluding remarks, the Minister expressed gratitude to the Arab League and Egypt for their ongoing support, stating: 'The challenges are great, but our shared will is greater, and our belief in a unified, prosperous Arab future remains unshaken.'
