Lebanon’s Health Ministry Mourns Two Paramedics Killed in Nabatieh Strike

Beirut: Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health announced the death of two paramedics from the Nabatieh Emergency Service, Ali Jaber and Joud Suleiman, who were killed in an Israeli airstrike while en route to carry out a rescue mission in the city of Nabatieh on Tuesday.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the victims were wearing official medical uniforms, and their motorcycle was clearly marked with emergency insignia and equipped with flashing lights at the time of the strike.

In its statement, the ministry strongly condemned the continued targeting of emergency response teams, noting that the death toll among paramedics has risen to 42 since the start of the conflict on March 2. It described the attacks as a deliberate obstruction of humanitarian work and a "blatant violation of international humanitarian law."

The ministry also renewed its call on international humanitarian organizations to take a firm stance to put an end to these violations, warning that such actions fuel unchecked violence and threaten the remaining foundations of humanitarian values.
