Libyan Prime Minister and German Ambassador Discuss Enhanced Cooperation in Energy, Aviation, and Visa Policies


TRIPOLI: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, held a meeting on Sunday with the new German Ambassador to Libya, Ralph Tarraf, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in several key areas, including energy, aviation, and visa facilitation.

According to Libya News Agency, the discussions took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tripoli, where both parties expressed a strong interest in advancing collaborative efforts. The meeting primarily concentrated on the development of alternative energy sources and the establishment of direct air connections between Libya and Germany, which are expected to enhance economic ties and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

The talks further covered the simplification of the visa process, aiming to foster stronger bilateral relationships and ease the movement of people between Libya and Germany. This move is seen as a strategic step to increase interactions in business, tourism, and cultural sectors.
