Beirut: Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, on Thursday received Gabon's Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Pascal Ogowe Siffon, accompanied by the Chairman of Lancaster Hotels, Wissam Ali Ashour. The meeting focused on exploring potential bilateral ties and investment opportunities between Gabon and Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Siffon conveyed a message from the President of Gabon to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, inviting him to visit Gabon, where a significant Lebanese community resides. The message aims to establish frameworks for Lebanese investments in Gabon. During his visit, Minister Siffon also expressed his intention to meet with several Lebanese ministers, including the Minister of Tourism and the Minister of Transport, to discuss the possibility of initiating a direct flight route between Beirut and Libreville.
Following the meeting, Makary accompanied Minister Siffon to the Ministry of Tourism, where they met with Caretaker Minister of Tourism, Walid Nassar. The discussions further emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and exploring investment opportunities in the tourism sector.
