Beirut: In a show of solidarity, the Makhzoumi Foundation and volunteers from the StepForward initiative participated in a national campaign to clean Beirut's waterfront. Organized by the Beirut Municipality, the cleanup aimed to restore public spaces and uplift community spirit following the relocation of all internally displaced individuals due to the ongoing conflict in Lebanon. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the campaign saw broad participation from across society, including Minister of Environment Nasser Yassin, Beirut Governor Marwan Abboud, and Beirut Mayor Abdullah Darwish. Scout groups, NGOs, and many Beirut residents also joined, underscoring their commitment to environmental protection and community resilience.
