Beirut: Minister of National Defense, Major General Michel Menassa, engaged in discussions with the Ambassadors of China and Russia at his office in Yarzeh. The meetings focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation between Lebanon and these nations.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, during the meeting with Chinese Ambassador Chen Chuandong, Minister Menassa expressed gratitude for China's support, particularly in bolstering Lebanon's military capabilities. The discussions revolved around the current bilateral relations and potential developments to further cooperation.
Similarly, Menassa's talks with Russian Ambassador Alexander Rudakov included discussions on the general situation and possibilities for expanding cooperation, especially in military fields. They also considered ways to activate proposed agreements between Lebanon and Russia.
In addition to these diplomatic engagements, Minister Menassa also met with former MP Salim Saadeh to discuss Lebanon's general situation.
