Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, met Thursday with Caretaker Foreign Minister, Abdallah Bou Habib, over the latest diplomatic contacts aimed at ending the Israeli aggression against Lebanon. Mikati tasked Bou Habib with following up on the probe into a rocket attack that injured Austrian UNIFIL soldiers. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mikati condemned the Israeli attack on the UNIFIL, hailing the role of the peacekeeping mission in preserving security and stability in south Lebanon. Mikati later discussed the current security situation in the country with Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Bassam Mawlawi. He had earlier met with Deputy Prime Minister, Saadeh Chami, who informed him of the outcome of the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund that he attended in New York.
