Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Monday conducted a series of diplomatic and ministerial meetings at the Grand Serail, focusing on bilateral relations, humanitarian aid, and regional development. Mikati met with Qatar's Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, with whom he discussed Lebanon-Qatar relations. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Qatar's ongoing support, especially in mitigating the aftermath of the Israeli aggression. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Ambassador highlighted the delivery of 21 Qatari aid flights, each carrying approximately 113 tons of humanitarian supplies, 80% of which are medical, coordinated with Lebanon's emergency response committee. Moreover, Ambassador Al Thani congratulated Mikati on the ceasefire, emphasizing Qatar's steadfast support for Lebanon and optimism for the return of tourism and normalcy. On reconstruction efforts, the Qatari diplomat noted that Qatar's current focus remains on humanitarian aid, wit h additional phases to follow. Mikati also welcomed Poland's new ambassador, Aleksandra Bukowska-McCabe, for an introductory meeting, and met with Deputy Prime Minister, Saadeh Al-Shami, with whom he discussed ongoing developments. Minister of Health Dr. Firas Abiad discussed ministry-related issues with Mikati, while MPs Mohammad Sleiman and Abdul Aziz Al-Samad addressed matters concerning northern Lebanon. MP Karim Kabbara also met with Mikati to review the situation in Tripoli.
