Beirut: Prime Minister Najib Mikati has called upon countries sponsoring the ceasefire agreement to take responsibility in deterring Israeli actions and enforcing its withdrawal from occupied territories. On Sunday, Mikati issued a statement recognizing the resilience and determination of the people in the southern regions, who remain steadfast on their land amidst ongoing threats.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mikati expressed respect for those who have been displaced by aggression but have chosen to return and confront the challenges. He highlighted their patriotism as an exemplary model, emphasizing that their sacrifices demonstrate that no right is lost when pursued persistently.
Mikati appealed to the international community, particularly those who facilitated the ceasefire, to uphold their commitments in preventing further aggression and ensuring Israel's compliance with withdrawal mandates. He stressed that non-compliance with the ceasefire terms and Resolution 1701 could result in serious repercussions.
