Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati's press office issued a statement on Thursday denying reports that he had signed a proposed ceasefire agreement following a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein. Reiterating what Prime Minister Mikati had announced after the joint call initiated by the United States and France, with the support of the European Union and several Western and Arab countries, the press office stated that Mikati welcomed international efforts but emphasized, "We welcome the statement, but the true test lies in its implementation, particularly through Israel's commitment to international resolutions."
