Beirut: Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos, held a series of meetings at the ministry, engaging with key figures from the media industry and international organizations. On Monday, Dr. Morcos welcomed a delegation from the Tele Liban Board of Directors, led by Dr. Elissar Naddaf. The delegation included board members Rima Khaddaj Hamadeh, Janan Mallat, Ali Qassem, and Charles Saba.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dr. Naddaf expressed gratitude towards Minister Morcos for his efforts in the appointment of a new board of directors for Tele Liban. She acknowledged the priority and importance that the minister has consistently accorded to Tele Liban in his various meetings. The discussions also focused on the work plan of the Tele Liban Board of Directors, aiming to elevate the station as a unifying national platform that transcends sectarian and party lines and to restore its prominence in the media landscape.
In a separate meeting, Minister Morcos received Cynthia Darrous Khoury, the Officer-in-Charge of the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Beirut, along with Ghada Ballout Zeitoun, the Editor-in-Chief of the 'Economic Dialogue' program. Khoury briefed the minister on the collaborative activities between the United Nations Information Programme and the 'Economic Dialogue' program. She extended an invitation to Minister Morcos to participate in and sponsor a special economic media dossier currently under preparation by the centre.
Furthermore, Minister Morcos met with Jamal Al-Mulla, the host of the "Stories" podcast on the ArabCast platform. This meeting was part of a broader media visit aimed at enhancing dialogue within the Arab media community.
