Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, will preside over a Cabinet session at 3:00 p.m. today to deliberate on a 10-item agenda addressing multiple topics.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun, earlier in the day, met with Minister of Public Health, Dr. Rakan Nasreddine, at Baabda Palace. The minister briefed the President on his recent visit to Qatar, where he participated in the World Summit on Mental Health in Doha.
During the summit, Minister Nasreddine engaged with a number of ministers and officials, focusing on enhancing cooperation in the health sector between Lebanon and their respective countries. The discussions between President Aoun and Minister Nasreddine also touched upon the agenda for the Cabinet session scheduled for later in the day at the Palace.
President Aoun's engagements at Baabda Palace continued with a meeting with Marwan Sehnaoui, head of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Lebanon. Sehnaoui shared the results of his visits to several countries aimed at strengthening the Order's humanitarian, social, and healthcare initiatives in Lebanon.
Further, President Aoun received former Minister Raed Khoury, where they discussed the country's economic and financial situation, exploring potential strategies for improvement.
