Beirut: Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Rima Karami, met with Victoria Dunne, Deputy Head of Mission and Development Director at the British Embassy in Lebanon, and Mayssa Dawi, Director of the British Council in Lebanon, at the ministry office. The meeting focused on extending an official invitation to Dr. Karami to participate in the World Education Forum 2026, scheduled to take place in London from May 17 to 20, 2026.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the World Education Forum, recognized as the largest gathering of education ministers globally, will center around the theme "Education for a Shared Future: Peace, Planet, Purpose and Pathways." This theme highlights education's crucial role in fostering resilient and inclusive societies aligned with collective priorities. The UK Embassy and the British Council emphasized their commitment to ongoing collaboration to enhance Lebanon's education sector and ensure that the Lebanese Ministry of Education's perspectives are represented at the global forum.
