DUBAI: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has marked a significant achievement by becoming the first federal entity to receive the highest certification from the Global Innovation Institute (GInI), namely the Certified Innovative Government Organisation-Excellence Level. In addition to this, MoHAP has earned the Accreditation of an Accelerator Programme by GInI, setting a precedent as the first federal entity to be awarded this certification.
According to Emirates News Agency, MoHAP’s accomplishments in innovation have been further strengthened by obtaining the ISO 56002 certification in innovation management. This recognition highlights the Ministry’s successful efforts in enhancing innovation processes and competitiveness, which are essential for cultivating a robust organisational innovation culture. Such initiatives aim to elevate the Ministry’s reputation and drive sustainable growth.

best practices has led to significant improvements in the quality of health services. This commitment enhances the UAE’s status as a premier global destination for sustainable innovation, bolstering its competitiveness on the international stage.
During a ceremony held in Dubai, Salem Al Darmaki, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Prevention, accepted the two certificates on behalf of Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The awards were presented by Mohannad Shaheen, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at the Global Innovation Institute. The event was also attended by Saqr Al Humairi, Chief Innovation Officer, and Wedad Bu Humaid, Director of the Government Communications Department, MoHAP.
Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama emphasized the UAE government’s commitment to positioning the country as a leading innovative nation, in alignment with the UAE Centennial 2071. He highlighted the Ministry’s focus on integrating the latest advancements in quali
ty health services as part of the National Strategy for Advanced Innovation.
Saqr Al Humairi remarked that receiving these prestigious innovation certificates underscores MoHAP’s leadership in bringing innovative practices to the health sector. This recognition not only enhances the Ministry’s reputation but also serves as inspiration to continue striving for excellence and creativity.
